The weather was absolutely beautiful out today, so after a weekend of rain and gloom we decided to go out exploring! First stop was to feed the duckies (I knew all of that old bread would be good for something). Then, we took a trip to downtown McKinney and had brunch at Sugarbacon Proper Kitchen off Virginia St. We shared yummy pimento cheese and pulled pork tator tots, and split a grilled salmon club with a side salad. The food was fresh and tasty...and the weather was perfect for lounging on the patio. Next, we strolled along the streets stopping for puppy treats at The Canine Cookie Company, chocolate covered gummy bears at Mom and Popcorn Company, and finally a piece of chocolate pie with pretzel crust to go from Emporium Pies. The day was breezy and full of sunshine making it the perfect weather for seeing the local sites!
